Data We Collect on Registration
When creating a new account in the Rio Club app, we ask you to provide the following data:
Username
A unique name you choose to identify your account in the app.
Email Address
Used for identification and account notifications only.
Phone Number
Used to verify your identity via SMS. Must match the number registered with your club membership.
Password
Fully encrypted — no one can view it. We do not store your password in readable form.
Membership Code
Used to verify you are an actual Rio Club member. Compared against the members database and not stored independently.
After registration, we send a 6-digit verification code via SMS to your phone number. This code is temporary, single-use, and deleted immediately after verification.
Data Used on Login
When logging in, the app only requires:
Username
Your unique account identifier.
Password
Verified in encrypted form — never sent or stored in plain text.
On successful login, the app creates a temporary access token used only to identify you during the session. It is deleted when you log out.
How We Use Your Data
- To verify your identity as a Rio Club member.
- To create your account and grant access to app services.
- To send a one-time verification code via SMS during registration.
- To handle login and manage usage sessions.
- To provide club services such as shuttle booking and membership display.
Data Protection
We take appropriate security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access or unlawful use.
Passwords are encrypted using the Bcrypt algorithm and cannot be retrieved. We do not share your data with any third parties.
No data is collected beyond what is mentioned above. We do not track your location, access your contacts, or read your device files.
