How to Use the Rio Club App

A practical step-by-step guide from creating your account to receiving your shuttle ticket — in minutes.

Step One

Download the App on Your Phone

The Rio Club app is free for iPhone and Android. Pick the right app store from the buttons below.

Step Two

Create Your Account

Your app account is linked to your club membership. You'll need your membership code and the phone number registered with the club.

Open the app and tap "Create Account"

On the welcome screen, tap the "Create New Account" button.

Fill the 6 fields in this order

All fields below are required.

Membership Code from your membership card
Registered Phone registered with the club admin
Username pick another if it's taken
Email Address a real email you can access
Password min 8 characters
Confirm Password same as password

Accept the terms and tap "Register"

Tick the terms checkbox, then tap the "Register" button.

Confirm your phone with a 6-digit code

You'll receive a 6-digit SMS code — enter it in the 6 boxes to finish creating the account.

Registration FAQ

I didn't receive the OTP — what do I do?

On the verification screen there's a 1-minute countdown. Once it ends, the "Resend" button becomes active — tap it to get a new code.

Also make sure:

  • The phone number you entered is correct and can receive SMS.
  • You have good cellular signal.
  • No app is blocking SMS or moving it to spam.

If it still doesn't arrive after resending, call 19822 or message us.

Username is already taken
Pick another unique username. You can add numbers or a dot to make it unique (e.g., ahmed.m or ahmed_2025).
Membership code or phone is rejected
The phone number must match the one on file with the club administration on your membership record. If your number changed, ask the admin to update it before creating an account.

Step Three

Log In to Your Account

On the welcome screen, tap the "Log In" button.

Use the same credentials you registered with. You can tick "Remember me" for quick access next time.

Tap the "Forgot password?" link below the login button. Enter your phone, receive a code, then set a new password.

Step Four

Book a Shuttle Trip

All booking steps live in one screen: pick the ticket type, passenger count, date, route, then the outbound and/or return trip.

There are 3 ticket types:

Open "Shuttle" from the bottom bar

After login, tap the Shuttle icon. The available routes appear — tap "Book" on the one you want.

Pick "One-way" as ticket type

In the "Ticket Type" section, choose the orange card labeled "One-way (To Club)".

Choose passenger count

Pick how many members and guests are travelling.

Pick the travel date

Tap the date picker and select the day.

Pick the route

e.g. "King Street" or "45 Street" — whichever is closest to you.

Pick the outbound trip and pickup stop

In "Departure to Club", choose a time, then pick a stop from the stops list/map.

Review, confirm and pay

A confirmation screen shows full details and total. Pay by Visa/Mastercard (CIB) or bank transfer via InstaPay.

The route you'll use. If you want to come back on a different route, enable the "different route for return" toggle.

A single ticket with the combined total. Pay via CIB or InstaPay.

Payment Methods

Pay by Visa/Mastercard via the CIB gateway, or by bank transfer via InstaPay. Your ticket is issued automatically once payment is confirmed.

Step Five

Tickets & Bus Tracking

My Tickets

Open "My Tickets" from the bottom bar to see upcoming bookings with each trip's details and boarding QR code.

Track the Bus

On the day of your trip, tap the ticket to follow the bus location live on the map.

When boarding, show the QR code from your ticket to the driver to be scanned.
